On January 25, 2010, Sam Lester, Vice Pres/Legal Counsel, and Maria Riccobono, Marketing Assistant, gave a presentation at Ms. Beth Ray’s Class of 36 pre-school students at Astoria Park Elementary School, located on 2465 Atlas Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32303. Sam and Maria talked about the importance of saving to the 3, 4, and 5 year old students and used piggy banks to explain and encourage saving. An ABA teaching poster was used to teach the functions of a bank and the money system. The children enjoyed learning about the concept of savings and were encouraged to bring their saved money into the bank to keep their savings secure. The children were given FMB piggy banks and a smaller version of the ABA poster to share with their parents, brothers and sisters.
